What does an Adult School do?

Who can attend?

Anyone age 18 or older.

How are the classes organized?

Like all other educational programs, adult schools have a progression as well.
Adult Education Progression
You can learn English, then get your high school diploma or equivalency, improve your Math and Language skills in preparation for job training and at the end, start a new job or career. But that is not the only way to go through adult school. If you do not need ESL classes, you could:
Adult Education Progression no ESL
...or, you may already have your High School Diploma and may just need English and Math classes to support your job training classes. Then, your experience might look like this:
Adult Education Progression no ESL no HSD
Finally, you are not limited to doing just one program at a time! You could do this:
Adult Education Progression co-enrollment
Finally, all of our job or career training happens in partnership with the College of San Mateo. Our adult school teachers will work closely with your college job training teachers to make sure that you are SUCCESSFUL in achieving your Job/Career goals, and open up even more opportunities for you!
